Sunlight is indeed essential for our health as it provides us with vitamin D. But exposing your skin to the sun for too long can cause harm.

It is a known fact that sunlight contains UV rays. When you stay under the sun for long hours, it causes sunburn. If you continue to expose your skin to the sun regularly, it may lead to premature ageing, or skin cancer in the worst cases. This is why you need natural skin protection from sun so that you can keep yourself protected.

Here are some tips to follow:

    Wear Sunscreen

When it comes to stepping out in the sun, wearing sunscreen is a must. This is one of the most effective ways to protect your skin from the sun.

When choosing a sunscreen, make sure that the product comes with an SPF of at least 50. Apply it generously all over your skin before going out of your home. Also, carry the bottle in your bag, so you can reapply it every two hours. This is important if you are planning to stay outdoors for too long.

    Use Sunglasses

Just protecting your skin is not enough. Your eyes are equally important and that’s why wearing sunglasses is a must.

You should use sunglasses that block 100% of both UVA and UVB rays. This way you can protect your eyes from the sun’s rays. Exposing your eyes to sun rays can cause cataracts, or wrinkles and sunspots around the delicate skin around them. You can prevent all of this by wearing sunglass.

    Wear Protective Clothing

If you are someone who has to go outdoors often, you should get yourself some protective clothing. It will act as a physical barrier against the sun’s rays and protect your skin from sunburn.

You should opt for long-sleeved shirts, long pants, and wide-brimmed hats that cover your face, neck, and ears. Some clothing is even designed with built-in SPF, which ensures extra protection.

Protecting your skin from the sun is essential for maintaining healthy, youthful-looking skin. Not to mention, it reduces the risk of skin cancer as well. By following these tips, you can enjoy the outdoors while keeping your skin safe.
